Welcome to Harbor Lights "HILTON"
In addition to our regular hospital services and preventive care, we provide safe and comfortable boarding facilities when your animal companion requires a "home" away from home. Anyone of our staff will be happy to show you the large runs for bigger dogs and cozy cages that make smaller pets feel safe and secure. Just ask for a tour at your convenience.Birds, bunnies, rodents, and reptiles need to bring their own food and often their own "houses". Special beds, blankets, toys, carriers, bowls, etc. can be brought in also, to make your companion feel at home. However, we do provide comfortable bedding and bowls of our own as well. Please mark your pet's name on all items that you bring in with him/her.
* Large cage for small dog/cat. * Large spacious runs measure 3 feet wide x 8 feet.
To ensure the well being of all, we require current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian. If these were given elsewhere, please bring a copy of your records with you for our files. Upon checking in, you will fill out a boarding form where specific conditions and requests can be noted. (To save time, you may download the form in our Forms section of the website, fill it out and bring it with you) These include medications your pet is taking, any special food or how often he/she is to be fed, toe nail trims and/or baths to be done while staying with us, and more. We also offer a 15 minute playtime period that is in addition to the morning and evening walks included in the boarding schedule.
* Dogs are walked outdoors in the morning and evening
You may also wish to have your pet's annual exam, vaccinations and/or quarterly deworming done while boarding.
If your pet is accustomed to eating a specific food or on a prescribed diet, it is best to bring the food in for the duration of boarding. We feed (and recommend) Science Diet maintenance for dogs and cats.
Providing the best care for your animal companion is our purpose. When it's necessary for you and your pet to be separated for a while, it's comforting to know they are staying in a facility where their needs can be met, whether it is a kind word, a gentle hand, or medical attention.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have concerning boarding. During holiday periods, and summer months, we do fill up, so it's a good idea to reserve a "room" in advance when you know you'll be away.
I'm looking forward to spending some time with your special family member.
Thank You, Libbie Pet Care Manager
